Rhoda lectures in coastal and environmental management and policy at Cardiff University.   Over the last decade she has undertaken research on various aspects of coastal and marine policy for a variety of clients, including UK government departments, agencies, WWF and others.  Recently, she has been involved with several European INTERREG projects on Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) including COCONET and COREPOINT.  Her academic interest in ICM is reflected in a wide range of research papers and publications on organisational and policy matters related to ICM as well as on capacity-building, particularly training, for ICM development. Rhoda continues to be actively involved in the development and day-to-day running of a number of coastal and estuary management projects, including the Severn Estuary Partnership. Rhoda Ballinger has a degree in Geography, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a PhD from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.
