For me this picture typifies ‘my’ coast. Polperro in Cornwall is now a tourist village that has adapted from its fisheries work-base. The echoes are evident here: beneath the water, in the dilapidated building, and in the trickle of vessels that chug in and out carrying tourists. Not forgetting it’s the start of the most difficult part of the South West Coastal Path, ending at Polruan.
