This was taken early one September morning, sailing out of Rowhedge on the Colne as the sun rose. I was headed off with friends to the annual Oyster Dredging Match at West Mersea. The photo brings to mind the calming effect of still coastal waters, and the beauty of coastal landscapes – here a subtle merging of land and sea, and the sky doubled in size through its reflection in the water. A truly memorable day.
